Samsung has revealed SleepSense at IFA 2015, a gadget that is based on sleep-tracking concept which can be slipped flat under the mattress on which you sleep. The sensors will then monitor your heart rate, your breathing rate and the movement that you do while sleeping with a high accuracy. An individual sleep score is calculated based on the total sleep time, the number of times you woke up and REM sleep percentage.
The app also suggests inputs from Harvard expert for improving sleep – with change of nutrition, suggested exercises and other factors. The gadget works with Samsung’s own SmartThings IoT home automation system. Once the gadget ascertains you are asleep, it turns off lights or the TV and even lowers the air conditioning. No price or release date was announced yet.
