It has hosted several launch events and allowed attendees to spend some time with the phone. The device has just become available for pre-order now. Almost after seven months, it’s finally time to take a look at what ASUS can do with Google’s Tango augmented reality platform.
The first Phone To Support Tango.
The ZenFone AR is the first phone to support both Tango. For those who aren’t aware, Tango is Google’s 3D mapping tech to support AR and Daydream VR. There’s a lot of techs packed into a slim and lightweight package. Other specs include either 64 or 128GB of storage, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 processor, three camera sensors, a 5.7-inch AMOLED display and a 3,300 mAh battery.
What Is Tango?

It allows the phone to perceive depth, track its motion, and even learn its environment, allowing you to immerse yourself in augmented reality like never before.
ZenFone AR comes with the innovative TriCam system. This system consists of three rear cameras. There is a motion tracking camera to track its motion, a depth sensing IR sensor to see the depth between objects, floor and walls, and a Sony 23MP camera that lets you see virtual objects in front of you in great detail.

Tango, The Highlight Feature Of Zenfone AR.
There’s a USB-C port, headphone jack, and speaker grill on the bottom of the phone. To the front are two capacitive navigation keys flanking a physical home button with a fast fingerprint sensor hidden underneath. It is beneath the phone’s 5.7″ display.
