The Onyx and Ceramic versions of the smartphone are very similar in design and also boast the same specifications. The exterior make and materials from which they are built from is the only difference. The ceramic version takes up 25 days to be manufactured, according to company sources, and hence it is available as limited edition. About 10,000 units of the Ceramic version are expected to be available worldwide. Availability will depend on demand only.

The Onyx version on the other hand features rounded edges while the Ceramic version has sharper angles. The Onyx version does have a mirror-like finish that attracts smudges while the Ceramic version proves to attract fingerprints. The back panels are shiny and extremely reflective. At 138 grams, the Onyx version is lighter than the Ceramic version that stands at a weight of 160 grams.
